The Recy­cled Plas­tic Fac­tory is con­tin­u­ously seek­ing ways to min­i­mize our envi­ron­men­tal impact while improv­ing our 100% recy­cled plas­tic products.

Listed below are prac­tices we cur­rently have in place:

• Raw mate­ri­als used to make our 100% recy­cled plas­tic prod­ucts are post-consumer and post-industrial recy­cled plas­tic waste col­lected in the State of Florida, which diverts waste from our landfills.

• Our non-toxic prod­ucts con­tain no BPAs or PVCs, which can be harm­ful to the environment.

• No green­house gases are pro­duced in our man­u­fac­tur­ing process.

• Our prod­ucts are low main­te­nance, min­i­miz­ing the use of water and chem­i­cals needed to clean them.

• No wood fillers are used in our prod­ucts, thereby not con­tribut­ing to deforestation.

• Most fin­ished prod­ucts are shipped pal­letized, vir­tu­ally elim­i­nat­ing the need for cor­ru­gated card­board in our packaging.

• Raw mate­ri­als are stored in con­tain­ers recy­cled and reused from other industries.

• All of our mar­ket­ing mate­ri­als are printed on recy­cled paper and we encour­age cus­tomer and ven­dor com­mu­ni­ca­tion via email to min­i­mized paper usage.

• By man­u­fac­tur­ing 100% recy­cled plas­tic lum­ber and prod­ucts we encour­age recycling.

• Raw mate­r­ial over­runs are re-ground and used in future products.

• Our prod­ucts are recyclable.

• Flu­o­res­cent light­ing is used through­out our facil­ity and prop­erly dis­posed when changed.

• Recy­cled Plas­tic Fac­tory is a mem­ber of the U.S. Green Build­ing Coun­cil and the Florida Green Build­ing Coalition.
